Wentzville

Wentzville has that “small town” feel

First settled in 1855 as a depot on the Northern Missouri Railroad, the city of Wentzville is still true to its heritage. The town is working to preserve the small, hometown feel of the downtown area with the current development of the surrounding areas.

Conveniently located at the crossroads of I-70 and Highway 40/61, Wentzville proudly bears the title of, “Crossroads of the Nation.” There is convenient transportation access to the St. Louis metropolitan area, making this an ideal hometown for commuters. Although Wentzville is one of the fastest growing communities in Missouri, it manages to appeal to family by never forgetting its small town roots.

Wentzville is home to many street fairs and festivals. Wabash Days is a tribute to Wentzville history and the connection to the railroad. The Greater St. Louis Renaissance Faire calls Wentzville home. The Run for the Wall, a Vietnam Veteran cross country motorcycle ride, stops in Wentzville on its way to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.

As more people discover Wentzville, the school district continues to grow, and the business community welcomes new businesses all the time. The Wentzville School District is the fastest growing school district in the state and recieved the Missouri Distinction of Performance award in both 2006 and 2007. The city continues to attract popular retailers, and additional shopping and events are located within a 45 minute drive.

With a taste of history, a goal for the future, and an eye toward welcoming new businesses, housing in Wentzville is readily available alongside some of the most beautiful scenery around.
